JPND Consultation on 2018 Research and Innovation Strategy for Neurodegenerative Disease

The Joint Programme for Neurodegenerative Disease (JPND) Research is pleased to invite you to participate in an online consultation on our updated 2018 Research and Innovation Strategy. You may have commented on the first Research Strategy, published in 2012. This updated strategy, developed under the guidance of our Scientific Advisory Board, is a central reference point for JPND. It is intended to provide a comprehensive framework for investment in the next 5-10 years and beyond, across the full spectrum of the global research activity required to tackle the growing burden of neurodegenerative disease.

Your role in the consultation
Please provide your views and feedback on our strategy by filling in the online questionnaire (in English) which should take around 20 minutes to complete. You may pause at any time by selecting the 'Finish Later' link at the bottom of the page and following the onscreen instructions. Responses can be submitted from Monday 17th September up until 11pm (GMT +1) on Monday 8th October 2018, when the consultation will close.

The questionnaire can be found here.

Why a stakeholder consultation?
JPND plans to collect opinions and insight from a wide range of stakeholders on priorities covering different scientific themes and enabling activities for future neurodegenerative disease research. This will ensure that we work to an agenda that reflects the priorities of all our stakeholders and ultimately one that will improve the lives of all people who are affected by these diseases.

Next steps
We plan to publish the aggregated responses to the consultation in a summary report on the JPND website in early 2019.

About JPND
JPND brings together 30 countries to accelerate discovery by aligning research priorities, approaches and programmes. This has resulted in the creation of the largest global collaboration in the field and represents an innovative approach to finding causes, developing cures and identifying appropriate ways to care for people living with neurodegenerative diseases.
