iREACH Health is pleased to invite applications for the Collaborative Industry Clinical Trial Awards 2026, recognising the achievements of Queen's University Belfast clinical academics and Belfast Health and Social Care Trust clinicians who have demonstrated excellence in industry collaboration, clinical research, and clinical trial delivery.
The awards celebrate individuals whose partnerships with industry have contributed to advancing clinical research, improving patient outcomes, and strengthening Northern Ireland's position as a leading location for high-quality clinical trials in the following categories:
Outstanding Industry Engagement Advancing Clinical Care
- Recognising clinical academics/clinicians who have established impactful collaborations with industry partners to support innovation and improve clinical care.
Excellence in Industry Clinical Trial Delivery with iREACH Health
- Recognising outstanding achievement in the delivery of industry-sponsored clinical trials and contributions to research excellence.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present at the Collaborative Industry Clinical Trial Awards Event, which will feature:
- A keynote address from Dr Maria Koufali, Industry Director at NIHR Life Sciences, on the opportunities for Northern Ireland through the NIHR Industry Hub
- An industry perspectives session exploring sponsor priorities, site selection, patient access, delivery capability and innovation
- Updates from senior iREACH Health representatives on pipeline development, infrastructure and data capabilities
- A multi-stakeholder panel discussion considering how Northern Ireland can help position the UK as the preferred location for industry-sponsored clinical trials
- Presentations of the awards following an audience vote
