This presentation will focus on sharing the results of a recently updated scoping review which has brought together publications describing patient and public involvement in healthcare evidence syntheses. Alex will describe the key findings using the ACTIVE Framework, discussing (1) who was involved, (2) how these people were recruited, (3) what happened, (4) when it happened and (5) the extent of the involvement. These findings will show that people can be involved at all stages of an evidence synthesis, using a range of different approaches to involvement. The presentation will finish with an update on an ongoing project to develop guidance relating to involvement of interest-holders in evidence syntheses.
