The Clinical Academics in Training Annual Conference (CATAC) is a unique event that brings together early career academics from the breadth of health and medical research to present their work, and to develop their networks with each another and senior researchers. The event is well attended by Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences and other leaders in biomedical and health research, and is the ideal place for clinical academics to meet their peers from across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
CATAC 2024 will take place at Riddel Hall, Queen's University Belfast on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
It’s free to attend, and there are both oral and poster competitions, which offer competitors the opportunity for sharing research, getting feedback from peers and Academy Fellows, and winning monetary prizes.
Applicants are able to submit abstracts for the competitions (deadline 18 December 2023). Full application guidance and details of competitions is on the CATAC website.
