To mark their 20th anniversary, the NIHR have launched 2 prestigious prizes to celebrate outstanding individuals whose work is shaping the future of health and care research.
The prizes will recognise researchers who demonstrate exceptional leadership, impact, innovation, and a strong commitment to making research more inclusive and relevant to patients, communities, and health and care delivery.
We will award prizes to:
- 20 rising research leaders
- 20 research delivery leaders
Rising Research Leaders
This award is open to predoctoral, doctoral and postdoctoral levels funded by the NIHR:
- predoctoral and doctoral, including NIHR-funded Global Health Researchers
- postdoctoral, including eligible NIHR-funded Global Health Researchers at postdoctoral level
- individuals based in devolved administrations funded by the NIHR (including those with NIHR Academy Awards funded by their devolved administrations)
Research Delivery Leaders
Open to individuals who have been a Principal Investigator (PI), or led a research delivery team supporting NIHR portfolio trials within the last 12 months. This includes those based in research delivery infrastructure, in health or care settings in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
