A key priority from Involvement Matters was to ‘Proactively promote and signpost to existing Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) resources for both researchers and people who want to get involved in research’.
To help deliver on this priority, HSC R&D would like to share resources to help researchers make plans for PPI.
Useful resources include:
- Recommendations to more equitably share power on research teams that include patient/public partners
- Stroke Association: Toolkit - Involving people affected by stroke in your work and research (this toolkit relates to stroke but can be applied much wider)
- NIHR PPIE Planner: The PPIE Planner is designed to help researchers plan their PPIE activities
- Public Involvement in Research Impact Toolkit (PIRIT): this consists of a planning tool and a tool to track the impact of public involvement activities within your research.
For more information, please see HSC R&Ds’ PPI Resource Libraries for Researchers and for the Public, or NIHR Learning for Involvement.
