The Health and Social Care Research & Development (HSC R&D) Division is dedicated to advancing health and social care research by supporting healthcare professionals in their pursuit of research excellence. This will also serve to increase research skills, which can contribute to career progression. As part of this commitment, we are pleased to announce funding opportunities through the Funding for Research Time Scheme. This initiative allows Health and Social Care professionals to allocate part of their time (4 to 8 hours per week) to research, with the Public Health Agency (PHA) covering a portion of their salary.
About the Scheme
The scheme aims to foster a culture of evidence-based practice and innovation within health and social care by enabling healthcare professionals to conduct research alongside their other duties. This initiative is designed to develop research capacity within health and social care and promote the integration of cutting-edge research findings into everyday medical practice.
Awardees will continue their employment with their respective organisations throughout the duration (up to 36 months) of the funding and must hold a contract of employment for the full duration of the award.
