9th Annual Palliative Care Research Network Symposium on 'Community-based Palliative Care' Online 10 December 2020
The Palliative Care Research Network (PCRN) Symposium is an island of Ireland event that promotes the impact of palliative care research to improve practice and change policy in palliative care. This annual capacity building event supports early, mid-career and senior researchers in palliative care and associated health research areas on the island by providing access to leading international and national research in palliative care, and input from members of AIIHPC’s Public Patient Involvement group (Voices4Care).
The theme of this year’s PCRN Symposium is ‘community-based palliative care’ that can support people with palliative care needs to stay in their home place.
This all-island seminar will provide information on leading international and national research in community-based palliative care. We will provide an opportunity for Palliative Care Research Network (PCRN) members, PCRN Early Career Researcher Forum (ECRF) members, and healthcare professionals to engage with national and international researchers to look at future changing needs for community-based palliative care, new models of care, how to improve community-based palliative care through outcome measures and ultimately how to ensure access to early palliative care for all.
