“Innovative Responses to Public Health Research- Showcasing NIHR CENTRAL PHIRST”

The 'Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Team' (PHIRST) will describe the innovative public health research projects they have been conducting in the areas of service user experience of substance abuse services during COVID-19 in Leeds, England. The virtual delivery of Exercise Referral Schemes in Wales, and Whole Systems Approaches to tackling healthy weight and diet in Scotland. Funded by National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) PHIRST provides high quality research to evaluate and improve public health activities in collaboration with local health authorities across all parts of the UK.
