23 May 2022 - Evidence Synthesis: Navigating an Evolving Landscape

Event Date:
2022-05-23

The NIHR Complex Reviews Support Unit (CRSU) and the NIHR Evidence Synthesis Programme is hosting a joint symposium on ‘Evidence Synthesis: Navigating an Evolving Landscape’ on 23 May at King’s Fund, London.

There is a need to address complex clinical and policy questions in a timely manner.  The requirements of evidence synthesis users are evolving, and evidence synthesis producers need to adapt their approaches to synthesis to meet the users’ needs.  We are bringing together different stakeholders from the evidence synthesis community (including producers, commissioners and users of evidence synthesis) to discuss how we can adapt to address increasingly complex clinical and policy questions, in a timely manner.

At this symposium, we will be addressing the following questions:

1.  What types of evidence synthesis are useful to end-users such as NICE and industry?

2.  What are the priorities of commissioners/funders of evidence synthesis such as the NIHR and industry?

3.  What are the current tools available to evidence synthesis producers such as academic, Cochrane and industry reviewers/analysts?  Are they fit for purpose?

We hope you can join us in London on 23 May, the programme for the day is attached.  Please follow this link to register -   https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/nhir-crsu-evidence-synthesis-navigating-an-evolving-landscape-tickets-42936649675
