All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care is delighted to invite you to attend an online workshop, ‘PPI Within the Context of Palliative Care Research’ Thursday 31 March, 9am-1:30pm. On the island of Ireland PPI refers to Personal and Public Involvement or Public and Patient Involvement in research.
This workshop aims to build your expertise in successfully supporting and facilitating people with life-limiting conditions, their families, and carers, and interested citizens to be involved in all stages of your research.
By attending this event you will learn how to:
- Prepare for and manage PPI challenges and sensitivities which are unique to palliative care research
- Develop PPI recruitment strategies to support inclusivity and achieve diversity
- Widen PPI activities to facilitate meaningful involvement of PPI contributors to improve research outcomes
The workshop will consist of a mix of presentations, activities, and a panel discussion with Q&A opportunities.
