Project Manager HSC R&D Governance Central Facility (Band 7) Temporary

 

Clinical research is a global endeavour, with significant regulatory requirements, which demands collaboration at a local, national and international level. It is important that regulatory services such as ethics and research governance approvals are compatible, competitive and efficient, if Northern Ireland is to have parity with other regions of the UK and compete effectively at an international level to attract clinical trials and other research.

The post holder will lead a project to support the establishment of a new HSC R&D Governance Central Facility, supporting the Head of HSC R&D Governance, the HSC R&D Approvals Senior Manager and the Assistant Director of R&D Division.

The Project Manager will; Support the Head of HSC R&D Governance and the HSC R&D Approvals Senior Manager in the development and implementation of a HSC R&D Governance Central Facility service delivery plan, including liaison with associated functions across regional HSC organisations, Trusts, Universities and commercial organisations to co-develop efficient governance systems.

Create an appropriate set of documentation for the management of the project alongside the delivery plan, including Project Initiation Document, GANNT and RACI Charts with deliverables and project milestones, risk and issue logs, and records of benefits management and realisation.

Ensure the project is progressing in accordance with the timelines of the delivery plan and take appropriate action to address any issues that prevent the timely implementation of the plan.

Ensure timely reporting of progress on the project plan and deliverables to all appropriate audiences, including the delivery of a 12 month review of the project to determine completion of the project objectives Support the development and establish initial monitoring of metrics and KPIs for the delivery of HSC research governance in line with national standards, and reporting of progress against these to the Assistant Director of R&D, Director of R&D and the R&D Directors’ Forum.
