Challenging Health Outcomes – Integrating Care Environments (CHOICE) is a community coalition in Northern Ireland which seeks to tackle the health and social inequalities associated with SMI.
In addition, the Administrative Data Research Centre – Northern Ireland (ADRC-NI) will be presenting their research findings on SMI and physical health. The findings will support and enhance the work of CHOICE, demonstrating how research can be translated into applied interventions.
Funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council, the CHOICE coalition is comprised of experts by experience, community and voluntary sector organisations, the Royal College of Psychiatry Northern Ireland and multidisciplinary academics.
Using participatory and assets-based approaches, CHOICE aims to develop an integrated, whole systems strategic plan to substantially improve health care and social inclusion for people living with severe mental illness.
All are welcome to attend whether you are a person with lived experience, a voluntary or community group member, a practitioner, public sector worker or academic.
