Health and Social Care Research and Development (HSC R&D) supported and presented at the first Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland (HIRANI) conference ‘Health Tech Spring’ at Titanic Belfast.

HIRANI hosted a range of speakers, panellists, global keynotes and local thought leaders as well as a “Life Sciences, Life Support” masterclass event for businesses who provide support services to the life science industry. There were also innovation zones and pitching events. The conference focussed on two strands; digital ecosystems to integrate diagnostics and therapeutics; and community people-centred design to accelerate innovation and adoption of health technology.

HSC R&D’s industry team were on-hand to provide guidance and support to delegates. Many delegates spoke to Julie McCullough and Marie Cahir at the HSC R&D stand during the two-day conference.

Colleagues from Business Services Organisation highlighted the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) programme within health. The team also provide support to existing innovations and suppliers helping them to work with HSC.
