Launch of new Dementia App - InspireD

A new app ‘InspireD’ for people living with dementia was launched earlier this week.

Details are available at: http://www.hscboard.hscni.net/inspire-d-app-continues-digital-fight-dementia/

The app enables people living with a dementia and their carers to create a digital memory book to store personal photographs, videos and music. The book can help stimulate conversations and provide opportunities for sharing experiences, sustaining memories and maintaining relationships.

InspireD was commissioned through the Dementia eHealth and Data Analytics Pathfinder Programme and has been developed by Professor Assumpta Ryan (Ulster University School of Nursing) in partnership with colleagues from Dementia NI. Its development was based on an initial study awarded under HSC R&D Division’s Dementia Care Research Programme, funded in collaboration with The Atlantic Philanthropies.
